I think as long as he is fit his physique shouldnt matter - one of the reasons we have so many injuries nowadays IMO is that we are making players too finely tuned in terms of athletics - its like asking a formula 1 car to do rally

There was quite a telling quote in the article though where wane says

"He loves the fact we pick his game to pieces - he's not one of those who thinks he's been there and done it"

To me that right there is the reason we aren't getting top end players at the club coupled with IL the penny pincher

That just sounds to me like "he's not got an opinion of his own which is just how I like them"
I think you may be reading a bit too much into that comment. Sutton is young player and so should expect to learn and it sounds like he is enjoying doing so.

If I have an issue with this it is the "been there and done it" comment.

That just reinforces my view that Wane won't listen to anyone. Some experienced players have been there and have done it. It's why you want them in your side.

If a coach won't listen to his experienced players when as is the case with us we still have plenty of issues to solve, he's not a good coach.

The other issue I have is does Sutton really need a rest and what effect is taking one of our best performing pops out of the side going to have especially as Clubb is out injured?

Does Wane really think he has the luxury to leave a player who is playing so well out given that and how the likes of Mossop have played so far (i.e. not that well)?

So we are going to rest Sutton, therefore saying to Mossop, Flower, Crosby and TT that their place in the 17 is safe for a few weeks. Mossop does not deserve his place over the last month's performance. When Sutton got wiped out against Leeds it was taking a ball in that Mossop (if he had ANY leadership about him) should have been telling Sutton to stand aside and that he'd take it. But SW rewards rubbish form and indifferent attitude with giving him a shirt every week.

Players knowing they are a shoe in for a place week in week out cannot fail to affect how they train and prepare. Crosby is a distance off full fitness (but will be awesome when he gets for because he's got the right attitude), Flower can't stay fit for more than a couple of weeks at a time and TT is in the dictionary as the definition of 'erratic'.

Over all the front row worries me...totally substandard compared to Cats / Hull and even Wire and yet we have a coach who seems to think that bloody mindedness will overcome having a weak squad.
