Unfortunately? So you didn't enjoy winning the GF?

Helped?, how do we come to that idea.
If clubby had been fully fit and had played, I think we would still have won the GF. Do you not think so?

Wigan win a GF, Tony Clubb joins Wigan, no GF, no GF. Clubb injured for large part of the season, plays very few games. Wigan win a GF.

I understand fans like the wholehearted effort of Tony Clubb but it takes more than effort; brains to win at the highest level. Any fool can jump out of a defensive line and ignore the players inside and outside of them, anybody can throw reckless tackles that fans get excited about but injured the player.

The big ? Tony Clubb played most of his Wigan game from the interchange position. We have FPN who offers more controlled, intelligent agression and Ben Flower. Taulima Tautai offering far better impact from the bench, Tautai or clubb? No brainer. Sutton, Bretherton and Navarrete all younger in reserve or a 29 year old who is very gutsy but has less RL brain and long term future.

Bit harsh.

Granted he might not be a superstar, but that's the Salary Cap for you.

He's a good solid player who benefits the team imo.

Clubb is a product of the salary cap whose place here was helped by Crosby and Mossop (whilst injured!) demanding wage/contract rises.

Oddly or not, most fans preferred him over Sarginson who was not a fans favourite but played a vital role in winning a GF. I guess that is fans for you.

Welcome back CP, , but can you name 3 occasions where Clubbs defensive errors in big games have cost his (our) team points

Who knows?
Since he joined Wigan, the evidence says otherwise.

We won competitions before Clubb arrived, we lost all since he came until he was out injured.

Supporters are rarely objective. The website sponsored Dan Sarginson and yet most of you loathed Dan and criticised him constantly. Dan Sarginson was a more effective and better player for Wigan but you all would rather sing the praises of a nice bloke who was not a great forward that Dan Sarginson. FPN is already a far better and more effective forward for Wigan than Tony Clubb. No doubt FPN will be a focuse of criticism by you all in the coming season. Many fans disliked Shaun Edwards more than Andy Gregory so he was never praised to the same extent. Yet, both were great Wigan players. Fans are fickle and subjective. Ancient maybe, loyal NO.
