Brett Ferres gets 6 matches for breaking Gildarts back
Am I alone in thinking that priorities seem a bit skewed here?
We don't want racism in our game or society. But we should punish tackles like Ferres did on Gildart more severely.

Both should be longer in my view the disciplinary system is too lenient in this country. By the way, one match for MM standing on another player is not enough either.

Yes your right. Nobody wants to see/hear racial abuse But the punishment is outrageously disproportionatestevethegas wrote:Justin Carey gets an 8 match ban for racial abuse.

Whatever happened to"sticks and stones....." Another example of P. C gone mad as the contrast with the Ferres case illustrates Sanctimonious nonsense A fine was sufficient. 8 matches for name calling. 6 for breaking bones. Ridiculous :exc:

Salford issuing a statement at 6. Don't say what it's about. Possible sacking?

Racism is slightly more than name-calling.
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.

I agree but my reading of Josie's post. He wasn't charged with Racism. Check for yourselfAllegedly they didn't find he was a Racist also it was the content of his verbal"comment"that was the subject of the tribunal. Your post is confused as no one is suggesting otherwise .please read what is said; not what you think has been said.yokozuna wrote:Racism is slightly more than name-calling.
