Well that is how it should be if we had quality across the board with equally competitive teams. Except we don't have that so it doesn't show that at all. It shows standards have dropped. Both Wigan and Leeds are shadows of the teams they were a few seasons ago.

It would be a positive if Wakey were turning over a Leeds side with the equivalent of Sinfield et al in their prime or beating Wigan sides with the likes of Green and Carmont in the team but these two sides (and Saints and Wire) have gone backwards alarmingly so in recent years.

It doesn't take much but a well organised side doing the basics right to get a result v these sides. They don't need top quality players, just a good coach and a game plan.

The league has not suddenly got ultra competitive. No doubt Nigel Wood will also point to the results and say , "Look sides are beating each other proves the salary cap is working (or some such statement)" totally ignoring the poor standard of play on show.

If IL grows a pair, sacks Wane and appoints a decent coach Wigan could easily dominate this league the way the club did in the 80's and 90's such is the low standard we have today.

I doubt you will ever see any team dominate rugby like in the 80's 90's as Wigan did Daveo.
Back then no salary cap meant we could buy the best players and opposing sides often fielded semi pro players.
One thing I do miss from back then is the biff, when it was banned it took something away from the game in my view.
