So there was ill-feeling in the squad, and their answer was to sign Robbie Farah? Wow!

Mcguire had a great attacking format and it won him the top prize in Ozz but after the win the NRL learned to work it out.

Might have to have a re-think of my previous comment about him staying in Oz. Word from someone in the know indicates Wire a strong possibility. Fans at HJ will be doing cartwheels if it happens

Michael Maguire could be England bound.

NRL360 host Paul Kent believes Maguire has coached his last game for South Sydney but where does he end up?

Speculation is rife that Maguire could be headed for Warrington.

“I’m hearing he’ll go overseas,” Mick Ennis said on the Weekend Wrap.

“Madge, for me, hasn’t been able to get the players back to the level he did in 2014.

“... unfortunately for Madge, they need a freshen up, South Sydney.”

So he has now been found wanting in the NRL as a super coach with their super fantastic players!

Yes, he was great for us, but it just goes to show he isn't as good in the NRL as he was here. He won us a GF & a CC & that seemed to make him a coach supreme to all & sundry! To some he was the Messiah!

And yes I know he won the NRL Grand Final for the Rabbitohs, what seemed a million years without success, but he has seemed mediocre since. Sorry ????
Found wanting? You aren't judging his record in the context of the competition he's coaching in. It's not like here were half the teams are poor. Craig Bellamy hasn't won a GF since 2012 (MCguire's win was 2014). As he been found wanting?

If you think McGuire is mediocre you must think most of the NRL coaches are.

What about Ricky Stuart? He's won one GF as a coach as well back in 2002. Had his contract terminated after two poor season in 2005/6. Since then he's coached Cronulla and
Parramatta who he quit early after a disastrous season on and off the pitch to go to Canberra who despite Stuart having less than great record since his early time at the Roosters, saw fit to give him a three year deal.

His career is not untypical of an NRL coach and what has happened to McQuire isn't either.

It's also EXACTLY what needs to happen to Wane. Now.

It's my opinion now, not when he was here. Everyone is supposedly entitled to their own opinion!

Have him back asap, he would come back a better coach from his experience in Aus, dont forget he was an assistant coach when he came to Wigan.

Wouldn't have him back, he's been found out and shown the door, i just don't get all the adoration for a man who left us the first chance he got, also i once asked the question on here 3 or 4 years ago, How much of his success was down to Waney, a much more successful coach ??

Couldn't agree more. Would shake up things at wigan with the players at his disposal. Sooner the better for me. From what I'm hearing be another coach at wigan next season so why not him. But fear another cheap option.
