If we pay part of his salary as suggested or pay up his contract does that count on the salary cap.

Somehow, this doesn’t have the ring of truth. I wonder why a player in receipt of a Super League salary would turn his back on it to return to a second-grade competition in Oz. There may be some arrangement in place (as has been suggested in another post) for Wigan to subsidise his wages for this season, otherwise it’s a pretty daft move on his part.

Not if you (and/or your family) want to live in Australia and not in Wigan.

But hey, this is good news! Made my day!

The statement is from a Western Suburbs coach. Are West’s Rosellas Perhaps a feeder club for West’s Tigers? Maybe he has to show his form to the Tigers with a view to a move there if they are a bit light up front.

Great news if true. I always had the impression that he was never really fully committed and, although he had his moments, he didn't play well enough to be good value for money. Surely now there should be room for a couple of signings i.e. a prop (or do we have enough) plus one other?

Wiga today now saying that he hasn’t even talked to the club about moving thought it has potential to get messy that why I posted the link in the rumours thread last night

If we pay him off, definitely.

If we were subsidising his wages at another SL club, then yes again.

If we subsidise his wages if he moves to an Aussie club I am not sure but you would have to think so otherwise it would become a common ruse to get players off the books for free. Free in salary cap terms I mean.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Saw this on Facebook has he gone or is he going?

He looks like he never really settled in at Wigan. He showed glimpses of his capabilities but nothing more. He could have been great for us but his reputed defensive qualities never materialised at Wigan.
It's not surprising really, ask to play restrictive tactics while surrounded by small under performing props isn't exactly a highlight.
Ah, I wondered what was behind his inept performances!
