That is a matter of opinion and even if it is Wane's opinion he has no business in his position making a public comment to that effect. I don’t think IL would pay too much attention to whoever Wane says should or should not be next coach. IL is his own man and imho is a shrewd operator. If Wane offers his opinion on any potential coach in public and it is in any way negative he is casting doubts on a coaches ability to do the job. He's effectively ruling Edwards out of the shortlist before he's even on it officially and it's none of his business. Just like it isn't to say Winder should have a go or not.
By commenting like this he is going to force IL to justify his choice with respect to his ex-coaches opinion if the evental coach is one who the all-knowing Wane has given his opinion on.

If IL has already decided it's Edwards having your soon to be former coach making such comments, that he doesn't think the clubs chosen successor is ready for the job is going to go down like lead balloon with IL.
