That’s what I’ve said, good headache to have though. Think the unfortunate casualty will be Marshall, he’s scored us plenty of good tries think he just lacks that bit defensively. If manfredi gets back to how he was he’s on the team sheet straight away for me, think it’s out of Davies and burgess to battle it out for the other shirt.
Can’t see burgess going back to aus yet, hasn’t shown the true form he showed befor he went last time.
This is the problem for Lam,(and no doubt Edwards will have his say), as said in other posts a nice problem to have, but still a problem. We, now, have 4 god wingers, Burgess, Davies, Manfredi and Marshall, that is taking them alphabetically, with others coming through the ranks.

I personally don't think Joe Burgess is as good as he used to be after returning from Aus. This was the case with Sam Tomkins, who has taken sometime to get his game back, so it may be the same with Joe.

After Friday nights performance against the Wire i would have to say that the starting Wingers would have to be Tom Davies and Dom Manfredi.

But who to let go? Marshall's defence is suspect, but he is a great try scorer. We had a winger like that before, Martyn Offiah. Burgess who, to my mind is not the player he was after returning from Aus, but that is early days if you use Sam Tomkins as the mark.

I am glad I am not the one who has to make this decision.

One Swallow dont make a summer.Lets hope it stays all good for him,he certainly deserves some luck after his cruel injury.Used to back him first try most weeks.Great that Wigan kept the faith and provided the medical/staff.I am sure he will go from strenght to strength now, just in time unall.....

I thought that just before his injury Burgess was beginning to show glimpses of the winter he could be, actually breaking tackles. As a left winger and huge as well as fast if all of our wingers fulfil their potential then it’s Burgess and Dom for me. With Davies a close second.
The one thing that makes me 100% confident that Dom will pick up where he left off is that he still has his pace. Can’t wait to sit back and enjoy seeing him back terrorising defences.

Emotional yes, exceptional definitely.

2 tries, 5 tackles, 0 missed tackles, 4 tackle busts, 10 carries, 94 metres gained, average gain 9.4m, 1 clean break.

I watched the Warrington game back last night, and Davies barely put a foot wrong: he was as good as anyone on the park.

Davies is a quality player. Exactly the type they love in Aus..... which is a bit worrying.

He rarely puts a foot wrong, he must be the most consistent performer in SL.

Davies is a terrific winger and I would be pleased to see him on the wing for us for the next 10 years. On his day though, Dom goes beyond not putting a foot wrong to making the impossible seem possible - not just taking it up strongly but crashing through the other side.

He must have felt sore Saturday morning! Always see him in Leigh and haven’t had a player name since Hock but next year if all is well I’m all for Manfredi on my shirt. Congrats Dom!
