I don't think either Greenwood or Hardaker would have been "cheap" when we signed them. Players of their calibre are usually pretty expensive.

What do you expect him to do spend over the cap? What do you call cheap?
Cheap like everyone else we sign lately
If all our players are cheap then please explain how we always spend up to the cap limit and we are the only club to have two marquee players. Obviously, you know how much our players are paid, please enlighten us.

The cap doesn't exist if it's a marque signing
It does.

Yes it does a marquee signing will count more if its not club trained player against cap.
We have had two marquee players both club trained. Pretty sure our player wage was the highest laat season in SL. Some need to get round the fact that we are not cap free and are not as a sport or a club where we was at the start or even mid SL.
Is Wigan perfect? No but Leeds have had a pretty good run under Hethrington Wire the same under Moran both found playing in middle eights last couple of seasons. Saints well I will look at the trophy cabinet. I would say they have all made good signings in that period and spent to the cap. Just to ask who else are you measuring us against?

Carry on paying peanuts as far as I am concerned if we keep winning the GF!
