You could be right and if Guisett were to leave I think it owuld be a shame for him as he came in when we needed him most and did well at the time. No room for sentiment in this sport though!

I did a quick tot up of those players I think we will have if no one leaves who will be on over £20K a year. We would have 23 such players if no one left at the end of the season. The list is:

Rads,Dallas,David V,Aspy,Carney,Richards,Brown
Orr,Moran,Lockers,Hock,Tickle,Hansen,Fletcher
Wild,Botham,Newton,Godwin,Feca,Logan,Sculthorpe
Seuseu,Guisett

So we have got to lose three players to fit under the 20/20.

Given when people talk of Aspy leavuing they expect him replaced with another new signing we already seem stuck for places on the 20/20 for that.

The only way out I can see is to get Carney out on loan (1), not offer Botham a deal (2), let Brown leave as he has knocked back a contract offer(3) or Wild goes instead of Brown. Botham has been talked up by Millward so I am not even sure if that is on the agenda so it could be Wild and Brown!

Finnally looking at the above the pack should be able to batter anyone but the backs look less impressive as we do need a new centre.

Dave
Logan is still only a rumour in the WEP, as is 'Feca'. I'll wait till we see them actually signing.

As far as another centre goes, surely that's where Richards will play, now that we know BC is staying? Which leaves no place for either Aspi or Wild, except as cover.
Most of us, I think, felt we were short of one prop at the start of this season, even before Davico's injury. The other top clubs (and we would still be a top club, if it wasn't for our injury list) all have four "real" props (i.e. not second rows moving up).
Seuseu, Scully, Paaaaaaleaaaaaaaaaaasinaaaaaa and Logan would be those four...the others, including Fletcher, are second rows.

Geoff you say Feca is still a rumour. Is Feca the guy with the long name: "Paaaaaaleaaaaaaaaaaasinaaaaaa" i know this isnt his real name but its something rediculously long. Is Feca that guy?

My confidence must be shattered.

The two Daves' are getting excited over a couple of signings that are getting battered every week in the NRL. How many class players can this outfit have when they, along with Newcastle, are cut adrift at the foot of the NRL ladder?

I just hope the pair of you are right.

I'll reserve judgement until they have proved themselves overseas in a Wigan jersey. Wigan appear to be handing out contracts that are difficult to turn down - especially to players who are on the wrong end of a pasting each week.

Are you ever happy, we recruit its wrong, we dont recruit its wrong...what exactly would you like us to do?
Wigan are doing their best to sign players who are making it in their current team. If you look at the stats of the players we've signed they arent exactly rubbish stats. Teams like brisbane are not likely to let their best players go, nor are their best players likely to want to leave when their club is doing so well. Millward isn't inexperienced he knows the kind of players he wants and is getting them slowly but surely. At least we're getting some experienced, overseas, younger players for next season, be thankful they arent all old past it aussies.

I think that there will be a few more twists and turns in the line up for next season by next February but one player that I would definitely include in next year's 17 would be Gaz Hock. The year out will have done him and Lockers no harm at all. They should both be fresh and strong.
