If you're in the south stand you should sit at the end of a row.
Me and my mate do! And I still waited on Friday night until the hooter went because these 2 men are just intimidating to other fans walking out. Might think I'm being soft, but I hate confrontation.

These guys may seem abit harsh on people walking out early, but i have to admit there is nothing worse than when there are people near you who are just up and down, up and down all game.
There's a group of kids who sit near us, no older than 12, and when we sit on the same row as them, we get up about 3 times each half for them to get passed. Do these people go to watch the rugby, or do they just like going for a pie at half time?

It's a fact of sporting life, that fans of a team playing badly or getting beaten will start to leave early. No idea where the implication that it's only a Wigan thing comes from. When we return to the good old days of stuffing teams on their own ground, just look at the home fans stream out early.
No British sports team has won more than Man Utd over the last decade or so, but it's amazing how quickly they can empty a ground when the result doesn't go for them.

I was listening to Castleford -v- Oldham on the radio on my way home earlier. Cas were winning with about 7 minutes left on the clock and the commentator said fans were piling out! It's all fans.

Especially when you've paid to watch a full 80 minutes of rugby, not 78 minutes plus two minutes of people walking past. Sorry, but I'm with the two abusive old men on this one. Anyone trying to walk past us also gets a mouthfull, particularly as we sit right in the middle of a block so they should be going towards the stairs instead of past us!

I don't think being abusive can ever be justified. I don't walk out - and it's not a nice thing to see, seeing as we're supposed to be loyal fans. But I also won't confront people about it. Who the hell am I to do that.

I agree, I was using the word as a descriptive for the two men you mentioned, but there are ways of voicing displeasure without swearing at people (as myself and the other moderators try to get across on here!). If you were to push past me I wouldn't swear at you, but you'd be left in no doubts that I wasn't happy! But...
But I also won't confront people about it. Who the hell am I to do that.
I think it's a matter of common courtesy. So long as you apologise for blocking people's view and inconveniencing them, then the people who stay can't complain too much, or they should stick to complaining amongst themselves rather than giving you verbals. Unfortunately not everyone understands courtesy and polite behaviour in this day and age, maybe you could complain to the stewards if they're really upsetting you?

Sorry about the confusion there, Fraggle! Don't worry lol I'm not accusing you. Apologies if it came off that way.

Well the thing is, it's not aimed at me. I've only ever walked out of a game early once because I was going to party. But on quite a few occasions now, including the win against Wire, these 2 men have started verbally attacking people as they've walked out. It shouldn't bother me, but I'm the type of person who hates confrontation and I just don't like seeing that. But I don't think it's my right to say something in either situation. Don't get me wrong though - I do hate it when fans walk out. It's very disheartening.

I used to criticise the Wigan Walkers back when I was of an emoticon using age (except they didn't have them then) and I am ashamed to say I left the GB/Australia test at the Reebok Stadium in 2001 after just 50 frost bitten minutes of Kangaroo dominance and was roundly abused by-in particular- a group of "ladies" from Castleford who looked like they had just stepped out of a Beryl Cook painting.
I smiled calmly as I descended the steps and headed at speed to my double room at the Lowry Hotel in the company of a game female colleague from work, OK so I missed all the GB points but as you point out...we sometimes have very good reasons for not wanting to see out a foregone conclusion game to the inevitable end. You'll discover there is more to life than Rugby League as you get older he said patronisingly...cricket and rugby union for instance

Just in case
I'd added to the confusion, I was trying to explain why I used the word 'abusive', just trying to clarify that I don't think it's acceptable to be abusive to other fans - we should reserve that for the referees and Sean Long!
