Re: A Bit of Challenge Cup...
My favourite two were 94 and 95 cos the other 6 are a bit hazy in the memory as I was only 3 in 1990 when I first started goin to wembley. I didn't know what losing felt like.
Wigan 'til I die.

Re: A Bit of Challenge Cup...
my 1st ever Wigan game was the 84 final. Not much for me to remember a little too young
Went to what I believe is one of the greatest finals ever in 85. Quote Ray French " what are wigan doing throwing the ball around in front of the sticks" 10 seconds later the biggest smile ever to grace a cup final as Gilly skinned Gary Kemble (who IMO was a quality full back)
As for the rest once I got past 1990 was just about old enough to have a drink or two and found a way of being in Wembley by 9.00 in the Cock Tavern by Houston Station. The rest as they say is history but I must admit I made it to all games and round Wigan on the Saturday night. Wouldnt make tea time now adays

Another great quote from the final from Alex Murphy
"he could side step on a thrippeny bit this fellow"
"he's not come over for a holiday"
Cue John Ferguson as he skinned the Hull winger on the outside

You're all making me feel old, now! My first was in '65....beat Hunslet 20-16. My all-time hero, Billy Boston played, along with Eric Ashton, Laurie Gilfedder, Trevor Lake, Brian McTigue, Frankie Parr, Colin Clarke...what a side that was!

Sorry Geoff I'll get my dad ont tinternet for you
I can only go back to 84, which still seems a long way compared to some other posters
Must admit from some of the videos I've seen Billy Boston would have still been a legend in this current era
