One year contracts

The issue with 1 year deals is you cant demand a fee for the player - players know this can be a sticking point to them moving on so thats probably why more high profile players and asking for short extensions it makes them much more attractive to other teams

Thats all a contract is now - its just a document to say how hard/expensive it is to remove a player from the club they do not have any meaning outside of that
