Cas v Saints off . Cas can't raise a team

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Is it because Giants have rearranged this game v us?
It was because the Giants had at least 7 in isolation which is sufficient to claim a postponement. Cas only have 4 so were in default

Sorry EW, I don’t understand how are we in default? Could Huddersfield raise a team?
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Cas are in default as they only have 4 covid cases so can't claim a postponement. They need 7 cases for that so the RFL (God bless them) awarded the game to Saints .

Original post should read were in default not we're in default sorry

Bloody autocorrect eh? 😂

So it’s because they have players injured or isolating? Thank you 😊

What a Joke, shows how poor the RFL is.

So does this count towards Saints playing the correct number of games to count for the season?

If Covid has prevented the youngster stepping up how is it not a covid related
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Those are the rules. Can't blame the RFL for enforcing them.

The Covid situation only applies to the senior playing squad (I assume the 25 top earners named on the salary cap).
In this case, Cas are saying too many of this squad are injured to make up a team but their places can't be filled by academy players (not part of the senior squad) due to Covid.
Therefore it simply a case of not being able to raise a team, hence they will not allow Cas to rearrange it as they would with a Covid related postponement, and Cas should also face an RL sanction at some point for failing to raise a team as Salford were last year.
“Usually the fans that abuse players like Sam have never done anything of any note themselves. They’re nobodies, whose greatest claim to fame is abusing someone who has, and these so-called ‘Eddie the Experts’ pretend to their mates that they have."

It may be better if we forfeit the game, 24-0 may be a good result 😙. I prefer us to keep giving our young lads a game, it will benefit them in the long run.
