My boyhood favourite, too. Legend is an over used term these days, but I think it applies to Bill. I feel very privileged to have seen him in his pomp.

Before my time too, but I was only chatting to his son on Saturday, I know what a legend he is and was proud to have met him.

Just missed him - aside from the comeback game where he got sent off - but the Exiled family members who did thought the world of him. God rest his soul.

I'm trying to find that bizarre match when he came off the bench for Runcorn Highfield, whalloped Joe Lydon and got sent straight off....anyone remember that?

Yes. I think he was coaching them at that time as well.
