This cant be surprising to anyone he didn't have the best injury record in his younger days
on his best day hes a decent centre - but a club like Wigan should never be fielding such a player - we should either have a better player or a younger player with more potential

Halsall is still learning his craft as a centre & what a great prospect he is

I like the way they're treating Halsal not over playing him, letting him learn his craft while getting experience in a timely fashion

in the past i would have agreed with this but the strength of the league is a lot poorer nowadays and i don't think it helps anymore. He's 21, that's old enough in a team where we literally have 0 actually centres to be playing. He will learn more by being in the team. Its no good going to Newcastle and banging in a hat trick against a part time club - that wont help you to prepare to play against ST helen's, only playing against the best makes you the better.
This is the point i am making re: thornley
there are 3 situations
1 - Hasall is already a better player - in which case he should be in the team
2 - Hasall will be a better player in which case get him in the team no point keeping him behind thornley/bibby
3 - Hasall wont be better than Thornley - well then release him because thats not a high bar

If your good enough, your old enough!
Look at the likes of Bateman and burgess, never did them any harm

Halsall will be a regular centre next season I think.
The reason he didn’t play Friday was to give Abbas Miski a run out IMO

When Saints have a full compliment to choose from do you think Bennison will be in Saints team? They are treating him exactly the same way Wigan are treating Halsall.

No they aren’t - Big difference saints have 2 senior specialist centres when they aren’t available bennison gone in
Wigan only have 1 in the squad full stop and he’s been injured more than he played so why shouldn’t halsall be playing?
We’ve had 0 senior centres most of the season
