In what lifetime? Have you been watching Old videos of him play? He made the worst choice ever going to union and it serves him right, he isnt half the player (in ability) that he used to be.

In his prime, he was...but now he's far too old, overweight and unfit to get back into top level RL before he retires.

we are very short of expierenced centres
That's ok, I'm sure we can release even more kids to other clubs to accommodate him. Maybe Sean Gleason, so we can watch him turn into a great player elsewhere (Warrington perhaps, to complete the family!) and then all complain in 5 years time about why we let such a player go for the sake of some old bloke coming back for a year to top up his retirement fund...

We will have to wait 5 years then before we win anything becuase if Richards and vaeliki both get injured then guess what we are in the same stituation again
You just dont listen. We have Gleeson, Goulding, Walker, Brown, Melling and Ashton who can all play in the centres. So we're not in the same situation again, we have very talented youngsters in our team who will do us proud.

Yeah but these 'kids' are just not good enough and its the same situation every year we dont have a big enough squad so as soon as we get injuries we have to use them. To be a top class side you have to be able to replace class with class. So if richards get injured we play Brown if brown gets injured we have to go to players you should not already be in the first team
As you like to say the coach is right. If millward thinks they're good enough then they're good enough. I dont like Brown but he'll get in the team no matter what, so theres no point arguin. Gleeson and Goulding were really impressive when they played for us. If you dont give kids a chance then your never going to breed young talent. Henry paul, Paul deacon, Fletcher all the players you love got given chances but i obviously see you'd rather have old, unfit union rejects i your team who are just coming to collect a big wage before they retire and dont particularly give a toss who they play for, rather than youngsters who have dreamed of playing for wigan and have worked really hard to get where they are now.

And the same for every other top team. Have you learned nothing from our ranting and raving on here over the months and years? We have salary caps, we have 20/20 rules, we have to play games with 17 players so we're almost into the reserve squad if ANY of those get injured! You can't have "quality" backup in every position, there just isn't the money or 20/20 slots available. The fact that we have Brown, a recognised first team player, to back up Richards and DV is better than some teams are able to do. And thinking about Bradford, since you keep talking about their players, what were they doing when Hape and Vainokolo were injured? They were floating around similar low positions in the table to us, because they also didn't have any suitable backup for their injured stars.
We can't win with the playing squad. If the club gets rid of lots of kids then people accuse them of not looking to the future and of paying big money to overage "pensioners". If we keep young players, who are the future of the club and have to get some first team experience somehow, then there are complaints that the kids are not good enough. What do you want?! Experienced, yet low paid players who come in for a while until our kids magically develop first team experience despite not getting first team games because of the experienced players... it just won't happen.
