My take is that we should select our strongest team, it is imperative we win at Castleford. Next week we can experiment. Ideally I would like to see at least parity between ourselves and Saints when we play the next derby game, that fixture will then become integral to whom lifts the League Leaders Shield.

Thats fair enough, the one (known) issue is Field and Hampshire is poor at FB so I'm suprised we haven't brought in a recognised FB so likely French plays there.
Marshy may have a knock from the Wire away game.

I wouldn't break up the half backs.
The more they play together the better.

Like who plays FB for the reserves would be an option. My point is we know Field is out and maybe for a while, I don't see Hampshire at FB ( and hes a better SO anyway), Eckerlsey and Douglas have experience at FB in Reserves/Academy so the next cab off the rank maybe the Reserves FB?

Don’t think we have recognised FB in the Reserves as there are only 10 players so not sure what position some of them play as lads from the academy & lower first team player are usually in the Reserves if not on loan.
In the Academy there is Jaiden Drachenberg & Nathaniel Twiss who both play FB

Sorry Nathan, i was thinking of Reagan Sumner, a very good prospect but looking at WiganTV, not ready just yet for SuperLeague.

So who plays full back for the weeks Field is now out for with his Hamstring injury?
It can’t be Hampshire as he is not good enough and we do not as far as I am aware have anyone ready to step up as a FB.
So it seems a no brainer French goes to FB and then the question is which of Farrimond or Hampshire into the halves.
The next few games would seem to be an ideal opportunity for Farrimond to get a run out.

On Wigantv in his interview Matty Peet says Field felt the injury in the first 10 minutes at Wembley. I would be concerned that despite the importance of that match leaving him on for the rest of the game might have caused more damage to the hamstring than necessary and it could turn round to give us more difficulties later in the season.
