The way I see it is that it’s a game against the French or nothing for mid season.
It's good for the French to test themselves at least, and give us a clear indication that one French team at the elite level is not enough to develop enough French talent to bring their national team to the required level. The last one in 2003 attracted a crowd of 8.2k.
