Keighran has prior experience but I'd be very nervous about having such a young right edge with Eckersley, Farrimond and Nsemba alongside each other. Ideally you'd have experience alongside young players. Farrimond was targeted at times against Leigh and while Eckersley is a strong defender physically, there were times when he was caught out in terms of positioning and decision making. I think Keighran makes that side a bit stronger.

Since a back row forward has been brought into the squad it could be Farrell. The benefit of having Farrell play 9 is that he's one of our best defenders and it allows him to move across the field and cover all areas. He's got good hands and should have the fitness levels to play the hardest working position on the field. The negatives would be whether it would stunt our attack. Being a decent ball player and playing number 9 are very different things, as we found when Joe Shorrocks was played there.
Farrell is a very interesting choice.Defo got the running ability but not sure about his passing.Cant see us playing hampshire as we probably wont like him and farrimond defending the middle. Its also worth considering the nsemba farrimond eckersley right edge thing as stated also.Maybe its a good shout to start faz and swap him for keighran later on? Whichever way we go its very interesting and im sure super matty will have his plan.I just hope mbye doesnt get off now or it will really nark me if im honest

The second appeal on the Mbye ban has failed so justice has been done. Roll on Friday.

Surely they're into frivolous appeal territory unless they had new evidence on both appeals 1 and 2?

I'd play Hampshire at hooker with the option to move keighran there and overload his side with forwards if it's not working out. Could Faz bend over that much in a game at his age? :P

In the space of 3 weeks all 3 hookers are unavailable. Think we will struggle but will make a pulling if a victory sweeter.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I wonder if we will pick an extra forward as 9 for defensive purposes but in attack use one of French, Farrimond and Smith?

Don’t particularly like the idea as we would struggle getting the ball out wide.

I think the most likely is Hampshire coming in.
