Believe it or not, I'm not trying to be controversial, but . . . .

An alternative way of watching RL and supporting your team is to accept that the number 1 rule, as with any sport, is "The referee's decision is always right", even when it's not! Same goes for the judiciary.

Nearly every supporter of every team in the league thinks the same, that refs have it in for them in particular. I laughed at Cas earlier this year (the match when Big Willie was injured), when the Cas fans near us were blaming the ref and we won by about 60 points!!!!!!

Ellis got 1 match. Whether we agree or not, he won't play against Hull. Try accepting it - it's just as much fun supporting your team as when you go into a rage. Plus it's better for your blood pressure!

Like a few posts point out, best to give him a week off. He’s been full on and in top form every week plus isn’t there a new ruling on needing to rest players during the season to minimise their physical impact ?
Probably could appeal his case, but for above reasons I don’t see the point. Especially with Hull having 2 players suspended.

Thought that was for young players coming through, first team, Reserves & Academy didn’t know it applied to experienced first team players.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Okay Josie, wasn’t sure about that new regulation - thanks for clarifying it.

Apparently it’s only being monitored this year and maybe brought in for next year. Any forward over the age of 22 can only play 2000 minutes of rugby in a 12 month period the equivalent of 25 full matches. Any forward under the age of 22 is limited to 1600 minutes or 20 full game. Backs over 22 are allowed 2400 minutes under 22 it’s 2000 minutes.
