It's a "cup". So is the one in my cupboard and I don't count that as an achievement either!

I recall it being called the 'Ward Cup', probably sponsored by Wardonia razor blades who advertised their product in the centre pages of the programme, between the two nominated sides playing on that day. Always the first game of the season and alternating with Warrington only. (When a programme cost three old pence each).
