I love the fact that saints used a captains challenge when leading 60-0. So much for ramping up the excitement.

According to Paul Rowley`s post match interview Salford where only given 1 hours notice before the team naming deadline on who was eligible to play As he said all the squad`s wages are paid up to date so why couldn`t they be allowed to play? As the game is on national tv surely the RFL want the best game possible between the best teams available. What point has been made by the RFL putting both Salford and the game in this position?
I hope people will watch Paul Rowley`s pre-match interview on the BBC I player, it doesnt appear to be Salfords fault.

That is shocking from the RFL. Feels like they are punishing Salford for getting their finances sorted.
Whoever at the RFL mades that decision should show us the policy and explain how they implemented it. BBC and SKY had it live and was the worst game of the week. Are the RFL looking to kill the game. As if they would that is how to do it.

I think it would have looked better for rugby league if the game had been cancelled and awarded to St Helens as a 40-0 score. The BBC could have been given a ŕecording, they are all on Sky anyway, of any of the matches already played.
The floated viewer we are trying to attract to the game probably would probably been unaware of the result anyway.
RFL, FOOT MOUTH readily come to mind.

I dunno. The 'floating viewers' might be quite happy to see a hatful of tries. It's us fans of the game who are objecting. So I'm not sure it's a major PR disaster. But that doesn't make the RFL any less inept, or at fault.

That was my thought as I watched the pre match interview, if accurate then RFL should arrange a press conference to explain, and then resign.

Rowley did very well to talk so calmly. Others may have spoken differently, and even not attended. RFL have much to answer for here.

Salford should have been relegated to the Champions or League 1. They beged from the powers that be to bailed out financially, they were all but broke. They had sold a lot of the clubs best players in agreement to being bailed out. It was a total joke to let them play in the Superleague this season. It made our game a laughing stock the powers that be are guilty of letting such a debacle take place.
