I suppose that depends on who's call that was? If it was the medical team then indeed, questions should be asked. If it was Matty Peet's decision keeping him on the field, then this was some of his coaching naivety showing again.
At least this should bring an end to the 4 prop rotation plus added hooker to the forward loaded benches he keeps naming
Do you really believe that the medical team or coach would let him play if they were aware? The sames ones that pulled field off as a precaution...

a medical proffesional ignored he was unfit to play.
A coach ignored he was unfit to play.
The player felt they could continue in a reduced capacity.
I know we like a good conspiracy but with the amount of times Peet takes players off for "precautions" I don't get why suddenly have people thinking he forced a player to continue injured. Seems completely against the tyoe of behaviour we see from Peet.

Obviously players want to keep playing on, but there's a reason why those decisions shouldn't just be left to players themselves. We've got to grips with this when it comes to head injuries at least.
It doesn't take a medical professional to determine that Keighran was potentially seriously injured against Hull. Things like the location of the injury, the manner in which the injury was caused, the obvious discomfort of the player and the fact that he couldn't run should surely have been indicators that there was potentially a serious injury. The fact that the recovery time frame suggests this was at the more severe end also makes it seem worse. It's entirely possible playing on made the injury much worse.
When you compare that with Field feeling a 'tightness' in his hamstring and being immediately taken off as a precaution it's not unreasonable to wonder why the club didn't take the same safety first approach with Keighran. Even if he insisted that he was fit to keep playing the continued evidence that he wasn't okay throughout the game should have been enough reason to remove him from the field.
