No, he was promoted to Assistant Coach after Betts' left. Although he's been bog all use in either job, and I agree he should go as well. Or he should be promoted to head coach and told to get on with it. He's hardly inexperienced in that role, he was Millward's boss in a previous existance rather than it being the other way around.taskmaster posted:

When it comes down to it, 1 win out of 8 league games is just not good enough.
Someone has to take the rap and they are not going to sack all the players.
I just hope to god that the club does not rush into replacing IM and that with the money freed up from Rads retiring, and if IM has been dismissed, then also his wages, that we can get a top class coach for next season (if we are still in SL).
Yes you could argue that IM was a top class coach, or did he inherit a very good Stains squad?
Club record number of coaches continues, but they had to do something.
Bring in Monie for a short term contract and to get the passion back into the squad.

Has Millward become a terrible coach overnight? There are some baffling decisions of course. As already mentioned, his favouritism towards Kevin Brown baffles me completely. However, he has proved himself to be a quaslity coach in the past and I thought he was the man to take us back to the top given time.
At the end of last season, we achieved good results by playing decent rugby even though we had plenty of players out.
What does baffle me is that the defensive coach is in joint charge when we have shown a complete inability to defend all season. Don't see the sense in that.
