Re: TIME TO EAT HUMBLE PIE...
Lockers did not ask for the captaincy, he was given it. Having just returned from a season ending injury and not being eased back cant have been easy for the guy. I felt before Fletch' ban they were starting to click and hopefully with Fletch back that will happen again. I don't think the captaincy has affected his play, he's been one of our consistently good players, you cant expect him to make no errors just because hes captain. I dont think its the captaincy thats the problem, i think some people have set their expectations too high (like to an andy farrell mark) for the guy and arent giving him a chance to develop into his own player, he isnt and never will be farrell. Just because things arent going our way dont blame it on lockers being captain.

agreed, MrsC. What worries me is that his contract is up this year...even if we do stay up, what effect are all the upheavals going to have? Will he want to stay?
Re: TIME TO EAT HUMBLE PIE...
Lockers has been one of our best players this year, though I'll grant you he didn't have his best game on Monday. Some captains lead by example rather than screaming, and he;'s one of them (Joynt was another).
On Jordan James, by the way, the first thing I notice dabout him at the Wakefield league game (apart from his size - he could bulk up to prop) was that he is very viocal: he was geeing people up, back-slapping, encouraging people who had made mistakes to keep their heads up, etc, etc. I hope the new coach gives the lad a chance.
