Ooh, that's not very nice libelling someone on someone elses's site. Completely untrue. How were we supposed to be able to meet a feeble £1.8m when we had so many players on long term contracts? As previously stated, we were given dispensation as it was impossible to meet the cap with those contracts in place.

It is only now, with the loss of Farrell and Radlinski that the effect of the cap will be lost and we can spread the wages amongst more quality players.

3 teams have been found guilty of breaking the cap. We're not one of them and we have already been cleared for the signing of Fielden by the RL.

morley is the best running and slickest forward i've seen with ball in hand, similar in someways to paul sculthorpe but with greater power and defence than him.
fielden does not enter into the same bracket as these guys, but his gutsy determination and direct attacking power is top draw, and i wish he was a wire along side morley.
Paul Sculthorpe? Maybe in the past yes, but watch highlights of the Saints game yesterday, he was about as fast as Jonny Vegas! Since his injuries he has been nowhere near the player he was and hence in previous GB squad threads (Acid test for Lockers), i've been saying Cooke or Sinfield definetly merits a place over him.

Morley has been a good 'un in his time but Leeds and the Sydney Roosters have seen the best of him. Seems to play with pain killing injections fairly regularly and if there are many repeats of what happened in the first 11 seconds at the JJB the other year he will spend some time on the sidelines and at Red Hall

:D Primrose your priceless. Morley is an enforcer. Nothing more, nothing less. Very strong defender, hardly ever made a break or offloaded in the NRL. A battering ram.

That's rich coming from them - they even had the rules of the challenge cup changed in their favour this year when Henry Paul arrived despite other teams having players cup tied in previous rounds. Talk about can't see wood for trees!

Yellow card for this one, P'n'B, you're definitely trolling here with blatant inaccuracies which were just an attempt to wind people up, which is against the site rules.

You know as well as everyone else that Wigan have never breached any of the salary cap regulations, unlike various other clubs in Superleague. You can only be considered to be cheating if you have broken some rules, and I would challenge you to find any evidence to support claims that they have. We "haven't" forgotten anything, there's nothing to forget.

Asking for an exemption to a rule, before the season started, is not cheating. That exemption, not our fault if we were already holding contracts that took us over the limit that was being reduced that year, was presumably also open to any other club if they declared themselves to be in the same position, and was agreed by the league. We were operating within the salary cap rules agreed for that season, therefore not cheating.

It really is unbelievable, I had a chat (argument) with a chap on saturday over this, He said we are cheating just as we cheated the salary cap in the early 80s, When i pointed out that there was no salary cap in the early 80s his face was a picture, Basically these people don't have a clue what they are talking about, This guy did'nt even know what the salary cap is???????, Sound familiar Primrose and Blue?
