Re: Dallas Fancies the Kni...

Got to say that even though he has lost a little pace (as the foot race with Hodgson on Friday proved) he is still one of the best wingers in the game - and the fact that a NRL club want him proves it.

Given a choice I would probably rather have Dallas than Richards next year despite his age - unfortunately Richards isn't a quota player and we have a full quota for next year as Brett said he was retiring.

Whatever happens; Dallas will always be fondly remembered - he always played his heart out and was unlucky to not have won more trophies at Wigan

Dallas has been a fine servant to the club.

Think he's slightly past his best now, but still a class player.

Always works hard, and an honest player.

Good luck to him whatever he does.

You'd be surprised what Brian Smith can do with a player. I really do wish Smithy was still Parra coach, i don't believe there is a better coach. If Dallas does go to Newcastle i wouldn't be at all surprised to see him playing like he's 20 years old again. You only have to look at Jason Taylor to see what Smith can do with a player who is "past their prime".
We'll miss you Freshy!!! Please come back!

Good luck Brett. We will all miss him come the end of this season. I wish him good luck in playing with Newcastle Knights in the NRL next year.

He will be sorely missed.

Why? Nobody plays forever. I prefer to think he will be fondly remembered. To say he will be sorely missed is IMO not acknowledging that we have had the best out of him and it is time for both player and club to move on. Would you rather he stay (current rules notwithstanding)?

Is it me or has Dallas got stronger in defence and makes more tackles since Noble took over as Coach?

All the team has.

He may find it harder than Carney next year as Gidley is off to Saints so he will not have a world class centre with him.
