It sounds silly but I just can't! It's not in my nature, although to say i'm pleased and happy is an understatement especially if what he's doing helps keep us up! But as Brian Noble has said they are all working for each other and playing as a team.
But he is still poor and not good enough!

JJ watch and watch carefully. When we are on top he's ok, but when there has been a comeback, revival or a turn of fortunes and the pressure starts to build, what happens? Danny Orr will knock on - no quesion that when the pressure is applied he is the first to crack and he should go or be got rid of asap.

Back to the thread - if Dallas wants further improvements he should quit (absolutely gone and as slow as a snail) and let some one else fill the gap.

He's about as fast as Wellens - seriously Hodgy caught him on one leg! When does he ever run around anyone? He goes flat out (from a defensive position) and falls at the first tackle and all people say is that he gives 100% - pathetic!

OK. so he may have slowed down but he is 30 and I for one think we will miss him when he goes.

He will be sorely missed next season, but good luck to him in Australia. He has been a perfect ambassador for Wigan.
Glad someone else agrees and it does make a change to hear Dallas speaking out.

Dallas has never been know for his pace over distance, his main asset is his acceleration, he gets away from people even to this day. Granted he has slowed, but he's never been fast over a great distance. Brian Carney said so in an interview when he joined Wigan, he was asked if he was as quick as Dallas, he said definately not over the first 40 yards.

I remember Carney saying that. If you look at athletes "sprinters" do not run fast over long distances. A sprinter just sprints for 100m whereas a rugby player is using energy all the time tackling and chasing.

Brett Dallas can only be as good as other people let him be, if he gets rubbish passes then he can't do much, or if he is encased by opposition he can hardly make a darting run.

Dallas is a great player, and never usually voices his opinion, and now he has spoken up, people jump on his back, and call him rotten

Dodgy Hodgy used to have a reputation as a very quick player as well, back in the days when he played well for Wigan (one out of his 3 seasons). I seem to remember people saying his speed in attack compensated a little bit for his defensive frailties...

When I said distance, I was talking about going the full length of the field, rather than bursts of acceleration over 30 yards or so that take you away from defenders. Dallas still has that burst oy acceleration, but he is no good after that.
