I won't hear a word against Jiffy, great player, good commentator, a friend of League and a nice man. Ray French is however, an embarrassment and always has been.

Ray French's voice is even worse, high pitched, St Helens accented and prone to mistakes, reminiscing, over use of "er..." and attempts to show he once went to university

The best part of the commentary was when Noble spoke. He was informative and used a lot of technical information about and how players function. This is something Sky cannot and do not do, far better than the rubbish the sky team come out with ( Ill put my house on it’s a try comments).

Is it just me or does anyone else find that idiot Jonathan Davies anoying when watching Challenge Cup games. Yesterday it had to be pointed out to him that a player could not be offside in the in goal area. Today on at least 2 occasions he called Huddersfield Bradford. He always gets the players names wrong. He just winds me up more and more.

The sad thing is that anyone listening to him new to the game would think he knew what he was talking about.

What a bad advert he is. I didn't think I would say this but give me Stevo & Eddie anyday. :o
You should listen to a p*$$ up Alex Murphy' BBC comentary Wigan V's Warrington 1990 Challenge cup final if you think Davis is bad.
In the pre-match parade of shaking hands before kick-off he only managed to get one single players name right in the whole of the Warrington team..Des Drummond!! :o

I cant understand why we have 2 has beens like Stevo and French. Both talk about the game like it is back in the 60's and 70's. Neither understand modern play and it gets on my nerves.
Get the likes of Joynt, Offiah, Edwards on there who were modern era players

To be fair, I like J. Davies becuase if nothing else he winds Ray French up.

He may be a bit rusty on the rules but he does give it his best shot. He was a fantastic league and union player, and if he played for us we would be saying he was a legend.
