I never remember Wigan resting players. We actually broke with tradition. Basically what used to happen was that a team getting to Wembley would suffer a terrible set of results between the semi and final, hoping to turn it on in the final.

We were pretty bad post Wembley for a week or so. I seem to recall we used to get a midweeker and invariably lose. Hull seemed to be a regular opponent post Wembley.

congrats to Eddie Hemmings have watched Boots an All,he has just given stains a right blasting for fielding an under strength team for catalan,as this brings the game into disrepute according to the current rules(rfl), yet reh hall have accepted their their explanation, he also reminded viewers that in 2004 they were fined £25000 (reduced on appeal)

Why didnt MO just claim to be Sthelens in mitigation when we came up for our hearing. We would have been given 2 points and compensated £50,000 for our trouble
Stains force another RFL Back down again

Just watched that, surprised wit Phil Clarke though I think they must have said they needed an 'equal' argument.

Poor for Catalans fans... but hopefully a Cats win to move Castleford of Wakey to 12th

Wrong.
Wrong to what?

St Helens are allowed to rest players as long as they inform the RFL in their 18 and 20 man sqauds.

And Wigan do rest players before Cup Final, we rested Adrian Lam for the Warrington match before the 2002 Challenge Cup Final and I'm sure that it has been done before.

Same old stains but what a nonsense rule we hear week in week out top clubs have rested players against lower sides under the rules this would be illegal come on!. The thing that Pisses me off is that Le Frogs are immune from relegation for three rears to improve the awareness of how good our game is then the RFL allow this to go on, surely this would reduce the credence of the club to the home support. :sly:
