Why defend any team from "the dark side"?
Be it Hudds, Cas or Wakey, then it's one less trip to the place where there be dragons!
My preference?
Well Hudds were kept up for a few seasons and don't deserve their stadium.
Wakey's ground is a **** hole and doesn't deserve SL status.
Cas, made it into SL by going over the cap, so tough poo if they go down.

Whichever it may be, it's one less game with Yarkshire being droned out

not true

if wakey lose they go down
if wakey and Cas lose we are out of it
if we beat quins we stay up
if Cas lose and we win its between them 2
Wigan are not mathamatically safe yet, if Wigan lose both remaining games. If Cas win next week the go above Wigan by one point. If Wakey win next week then beat Cas the with have 20 points and be level with Wigan. If Wakey get a big score or Wigan lose by alot then Wakefield could get a better points differance and send wigan down.

If we beat Quins then Wigan are safe, or if Cas or wakey lose then wigan are safe.

But Wigan are not safe yet
So even a draw would keep wigan safe then :eusa16:

Good riddence to them. Remember whoever goes, it is someone who was gloating over our apparent demise just a few weeks ago and who made accusations when we signed Fielden.

But for Richards disallowed try, they'd be down already.

I won't miss them or their shed of a ground.

I have a bottle of bubbly chilled, and was all ready to open it if Cas lost, but I'm not ready to tempt fate yet. Hopefully Wakefield will catch the backlash from the beating we gave to Bradford. Then we will be safe :exc:

As long as it is not us I do not care who :D

BTW - Talking to fans from other clubs this weekend. Many remain convinced relegation will not happen. I think it will but it is hard to be a killjoy.

I for one will not be glad to c Wakey go down they have played there part this season in what as been the best super league season to date for excitement.

What i would prefer the RFL ( goons) to bring is a 14 team super league then we can have just home away once against the teams, it as been crying out for it.Get back to the basics of playing in a league

Come on GOONS take notice and sort it
Wigan is and always will be a town of Cherry & White

Although I also do not like to see teams relegated (especially in a season that has produced such drama and where a team will be relegated with at least 16 points in the bag), I won't lose too much sleep if it happens to be Wakefield.

They are a Rugby League heartlands team and the largest town/city in England without a professional football club....but yet can only attract around 3,500 fans per home game (even against neighbours Leeds!). Where is the marketing to attract bigger attendances? Where is the new stadium that they have promised for years?

If it does happen, I hope that they do not go out of business as the club appears to be threatening - no doubt they will lose their best players to other clubs though (I wouldn't mind us signing the likes of Jamie Rooney, Ben Jeffries (quota player?), Tom Saxton et al).

Incidentally, Wakefield are offering a £100 discount if supporters buy their 2007 Super League season ticket before the end of this season! :o
