Although I also do not like to see teams relegated (especially in a season that has produced such drama and where a team will be relegated with at least 16 points in the bag), I won't lose too much sleep if it happens to be Wakefield.
They are a Rugby League heartlands team and the largest town/city in England without a professional football club....but yet can only attract around 3,500 fans per home game (even against neighbours Leeds!). Where is the marketing to attract bigger attendances? Where is the new stadium that they have promised for years?
If it does happen, I hope that they do not go out of business as the club appears to be threatening - no doubt they will lose their best players to other clubs though (I wouldn't mind us signing the likes of Jamie Rooney, Ben Jeffries (quota player?), Tom Saxton et al).
Incidentally, Wakefield are offering a £100 discount if supporters buy their 2007 Super League season ticket before the end of this season!
