Found on the Sporting Life site after the Bradford game:

Wigan will send Australian stand-off Trent Barrett for a medical check-up after he once more struggled with a calf injury.

I saw that as well but was too depressed having read it to post the link.

Outstanding performance from an injured guy. Even bulls fan I was sat next to said he looks a class above most other players on the field. A fully fit Barrett and players who really know his game around him will be unstoppable.

It seems to be a big secret or no one else in the squad has got the message. How many times did he break the line or suck in defenders leaving big gaps if the support was there. The difference between this squad and last years was that we finally have a creative player who isnt content to run the five forward and hoof it downfield.
We could match any side and heres a bold one "win it" if we can keep the free of long term injuries and learn to support the players like Barrett and o'Loughlin.

And the other secret is he is carrying two injuries but only one being reported. I have tried to find out the other injury but can’t. This alone worries me because I normally find out on injuries but people are being tight lipped on this one.

Unfortunately this information is 100% correct.
I think and this is only my opinion he is going to see a specialist for more than is being said!

I do not post all that much on here but the likes of fraggle know who i am and that i have good access to info.

Wigan Watcher is 100% correct that there is a second injury and that no one wants to speak about it. He is right to be worried IMO.

To me it smacks of whatwent on with Matty Johns. The determination to play him when he was not fit meant that he never got over the injury he sustained pre season and we never saw anything like he was capable of giving us.

We need to give the guy a chance to recover now rather than constantly hoping it doesn't get anny worse.
I wish people would just wake up and realise that there are other "influences" on team selection beyond those of our coach, even beyond how people played ina certain game. That is a simple reality of life.

There must surely come a time when an experienced player like Barrett says he can't carry on. He will know the risks to his livelihood of a niggling injury turning into something more long term and whatever the pressures from sponsors, Mo or anyione else surely he will put his hand up and say he can't play on?

As to the second mystery injury I think it is plain for all to see his calf is troubling him but I see no evidence of another different injury. You would think given the secrecy it would be even more serious but if it is he is doing a fine job of hiding it.
