I see elsewhere all the "Stay loyal" threads & "You can't be a real fan if you boo" nonsense has started.
I'm sorry but I've been watching Wigan since 1979 & I've seen a lot of cr@p & a lot of excellence over the years. I'm a grown man who pays hard earned money to watch MY team & I think I've invested enough, emotionally & financially, to air my criticisms if I see fit. Without incurring the wrath of some kid who thinks you shouldn't do this ( because he's read it on an internet forum )
I never thought there'd come a time when Wigan fans, traditionally amongst the most knowledgeable in the country, would rather berate others for having the audacity to criticise an under performing & frankly can't be bothered team than have a discussion about where its going wrong. All last season we had this & every argument used to eventually work its way round to a conversation about our support & how fantastically loyal we are!!!!
Well, I'm sorry but loyalty & numbers don't seem to be enough to put silverware on the board. We're often called the Manchester United of Rugby League - ironic that we should most resemble theteam of the mid 70's who were followed everywhere they went in massive numbers.....RIGHT DOWN INTO THE SECOND TIER OF THE PROFESSIONAL GAME!!!!
You are spot on. If anyone says what a great second half I will be banging my head against the desk.

Hello Mr Vigo, I see you are new on here but I like the way you are talking.
That said, been watching since mid 1960's and I've never seen a most inept first half display. The "Pump up" music that gets sounded before the match mustn't reach the players ears, having trained for six days then expect to perform, for 80 minuites, to the best of their ability, should not be a problem. There was not a "move" performed in that first half, training for six days they should be able to see them in their sleep. A top class side as Wigan should also teach its players how to tackle, having said that, the "players" should know how to tackle and anticipate what the opposing player is about to do.
We were beaten by a set of players who wanted to win for each other, and play as a team to achieve that aim, We have a long way to go.
We are staying up, I say we are staying up.

Their performance was dismal and they looked as if they weren't even trying in the first half..I have never seen them play so bad and that includes last season. I don't know why they are playing like that the skills are there and the coach is *supposed* to be world class. It's very frustrating when you have saved up all year and done without things to buy a season ticket and then have to watch them play so poor. I have watched them since 1970 and have never seen such apathy...where is the Pride?? They showed in the second half they can play fantastic rugby and are capable of beating any team but it's too late to try and get back from being nilled in the first half!!

Spot on .
I was a lad last time we went down and watched some poor performances last year , but that would have to be the lowest half hearted excuse of a team I have seen in the first half .
Could not face looking on here last night and I'm getting depressed .
What more can be said the team coaches and board need to have a long hard look at their selves we deserve better and so does the shirt . :exc:
As Eastender said ''where is the pride''[/url]

I was totally embaressed by the display of the team last night, it was the lack of passion to win that upset me.We are flat in attack & this creates the opposition with time to close all the moves down, it also creates panic passing resulting in droped ball. I have been a critic of Lockers, but if the rest of the team showed his work rate & passion, we would win every game. I would add that Pat Richards wants to go home, by his displays & lack of urgency to run his weight maybe its time to do a deal with the Gold Coast & sign Carney back, he gives 100% in agression going forward.

We were total bollox.... sacking the coach is NOT the answer. I think we lack something but i just dont know what it is. When we signed barratt and all them players i thought we would improve.
