You wouldn't run, that would make the fire worse. You would hit the ground where you were stood and roll around to try and extinguish the flames.

Before Noble dropped Ainscough (after scoring three tries) he was buzzing and loving playing for Wigan.
His body language was all positive.

Noble then started playing his mind games and by dropping him had obviously left him frustrated & confused.
He is the last coach i would want coaching my son, hang on a minute my son is an Aussie, he would be just fine.

us supporters showed more passion going down there than they showed from start to finish and now to see they have a week off and not even made to go into training is radiculous well done lads you all really earned a nice break

Similar thoughts have crossed my mind.

One of the things I have said on several occasions was that before the season started and we looked at the prospect of Ainscough and Sam T getting games there was a general consensus that they would make mistakes and if they did, then given their lack of experience this was only to be expected and we as fans would not jump on them as we might do if an experienced player did this sort of thing.

It's a pity Noble doesn't have the same attitude. What he should be doing is not dropping Ainscough because of any mistakes in the Celtic game. He should tell him to forget about it, tell him every player has an off day and that he will be playing in the next fixture.

Had Noble adopted that approach, one of encouragement rather than discouragement by dropping Ainscough at the earliest opportunity, we may have more people of the view that Noble is a good coach and Ainscough might well have been improving as a player. Instead his handling of Ainscough's selection is just one more pointer to the fact he is a poor coach IMO.

Now we have a class centre in Gleeson playing Ainscough on that wing has got to be even less risky and given Roberts offers so little many of the fans are as frustrated as ever with Noble and his selections.
