Reading through the thread I am edging into thinking that the "London match" might well be the one to upset fans.

Now, many have speculated it would be Catalans, somehow I am thinking it will be one of our bigger home matches. Thinking Leeds or Stains in London :doz:

I will be quite happy if that's all it is! The performance tonight makes me think alls not well. You can't play so poorly against the poorest Wire side for five or so seasons and be trying?

So you would be "happy" to lose our home derby game against Stains and for it to be played in London?

So we fans watch the delights of Wakey and Salford at the DW but our bigger/better opponents then the cockneys get to watch those then (if my speculation is correct).

I would at the moment because I feel the way we are playing it could be somthing worse. If we was playing well then I would feel more strongly. The way we are at the moment it's ok not watching.

I'd be seething as well but I hold out hope that neither Leeds, Saints nor Wire would comply.

Why would they further Wigan's ambitions by helping us court sponsors in London?

I could see why IL would want it to be one of them commercially and Saints in particular as that is THE biggest Derby and would get coverage. Whereas v Les Cat, ...meh!

Mind you if we carry on at this rate form wise no one will be interested in watching us play anyone.

However if it really is Saints then IL should resign. You really can't deny the home fans that game whatever your motivations.

If it is a game on the road, how many will bother?
After watching what the team is offering this could all backfire in a very big way.
Could be a lot of egg on a lot of people's faces.

All speculation:

Why would they not comply? Why would were Wigan play their "home" games have to do with them?

Now if Wigan were asking them to travel to say Fiji (for example) for our home matches then fair enough, but they are only moving a game (singular at the moment) "on the road". Mainly it would be Wigan fans that lose out as they travel whoever we play (away AND home). Stains, Wire or whoever would travel no matter.

Put it this way, say the stadium was not available due to Latics fixtures, could the Wire (or whoever) refuse to play the game as it was no longer in Wigan but at the Leigh Sports Village? Not a cat in hell's chance, it is the home fans that have to lump it, not the away ones!
