Not unless we improve dramatically and quickly.

I agree we have to start winning next game and go on a run. Problem is I can not see that happening.

Being charitable, he has had a long time out, but it would be better for the team and him if he were shipped out on loan. He should probably be good enough for Swindon, but if not I am sure there will be a league 1 team that he would add to. Allow him to get back to match fit, or establish that he has lost it, away from the spotlight.
That also allows him to focus on his well deserved testimonial events.
you mean mickey mac who working his socks of and who was part of the almost come back vs wakefield.
MM has been alot better than i expected his speed of play is also much better than powels( in no way basing powell he offers a different set of skills)
Ignore him Caboosegg, his agenda blinds reality!!

It will be Leigh's cup final Thursday, a loss for us will be huge.

Caboose - I missed the first 10 minutes so he might have been good in that part, but in the 70 I saw the game pretty much passed him by. As for his part in our revival, I do recall his having the ball stolen and then giving a penalty away and looking on as they ran through. It may be selective bias on my part, I accept, but I liked the formula with an 80 minutes hooker, and an extra prop to ensure our props are fresh, compared with what we see now, with 2 hookers, and completely ineffective props in attack and defence.

I think you'll agree, whatever we are doing now isn't working - since we are the worst team in the competition - and hasn't worked since about the time he returned. Which I accept may be coincidence.

I personally think MM has been really good since he came back and the ruck looks a lot better when he is on the pitch IMO, again that isnt getting at Sam Powell.

I think the problem for us is that we lack any sort of attacking flair in our style of play and this is exacerbated by two factors, Morgan Escare and good centres.

Initially Escare was acting as an extra half back providing another option for us to us, his passing and kicking skills were excellent plus lets not forget his game management. How many times did he kick for touch in those opening games, he had a lot bigger impact than we gave him credit for.

The Centres is another problem because a good centre can set up attack either through a catch and pass to the winger (a move cas do exceptionally well) or hitting that gap between the opposition winger and centre to draw them in the hit the winger. Wane has never seemed interested in centres at all he doesnt seem to see the value in them.

The lack of these two attacking options means we overload our plays on George and that skip across and kick for the winger is now starting to get read (see kellys intercept try). Between that and the boom pass we seem to be completely devoid of ideas in attack. I dont think the issue is with the forwards we dont have any issue with getting in the last 20 but we are clueless when we are there

I'm still struggling to remember the mini revival against Wakey, the game was gone as the team blew the lead by half time, for me MM and his worth lies somewhere in the middle of the two views,I said at the weekend in an ideal world he should have been shipped off on loan to get match fit, away from our beady eyes,I stand by this, the chap I was talking too suggested the reserves, very valid point he is being asked to regain form in a team with little direction,I genuinely feel sorry for him.

I doubt we and him will see his true form till next season such was the state of that injury, but he will be back.
