I hope not was like this when they swapped smith, tomkins and TL around last season as was like musical chairs.

2008 Riddell was replaced because he was carrying a knee injury. He then disappeared from the bench because he had a knee operation. NRL is not the placed to carry that type of injury as a hooker. Maybe he was let down by the fitness coaches

As well as the Aussie Government for not having stricter rules on pub opening times

The hooker that increasingly replaced Piggy is still at Parr and played in an NRL GF team in 2009. Parra in 2009 were a revitalised team going from being described as a pub team to an excitement machine. No Piggy, No Tim Smith, No Brett Finch (Who to his credit got a gig with the Storm soon after) and they were transformed under a outstanding coach. Who was daft enough to sign Piggy and Tim Smith whilst to put them back together was crazy. Every club / owner / coach make mistakes and IMO thery were mistakes. Thankfully, in recent times every decision taken has IMO been excellent. Nobody's perfect.

I would think Tommy playing at hooker is more likely than Deacon / Tommy interchanging at 7. I even think interchanging hooker which had become the norm may start to become less common place.

I'd agree here, on the assumption that the form book of players remains as is.

Half backs: Deacon / Tomkins.
Hookers: Leuleui / Maclorum.

If Riddell has any professional pride and urgency the propect of being the 3rd choice back-up should rattle his cage.

Whateve people felt about the Deacon signing, it has at last given us real options. For several reasons, there was little or no pressure on Piggy re selection in 2009.

This thread began by someone asking about a rumour, and whether anyone else had heard it.

Noone had, but after 8 pages, it is starting to make a little sense. Wedding, 2 weeks in Thailand and then......................................................................................................................................................... .................................................................................................................................. ..........................................................................................OK Guys. We meet here at 6.30 am. and run up Wigan Lane to Plantation Gates. Then we run through the Plantations to Haigh Hall......................

or have I got the route wrong???

I wonder if they use the shortcut near the golf course or round 'the big dip'

Maybe so, however it is known that Deacon has had injury problems over the last couple of years. Hence I don't "feel" he will play 80 minutes every game in all matches - my reasoning why TL and PD will play the scrum half positions with TL, and with MM and TL the hooking positions.

Maybe the swapping of the hooking/halfback positions is something that Michael McGuire is not keen on himself :doz: We shall have to see as the season unfolds.
