What were they?
Along the lines of obviously deserved to go but then it is not the first time Flower has attacked smaller players blah blah blah.

Cheers, didn't see that. Only saw the Sky interview where he didn't really talk about it.

Metres made: Saints 1284, Wigan 1385.
Tackles: Saints 302, Wigan 325.
Clean Breaks: Saints 2, Wigan 6.
Penalties conceded: Saints 7, Wigan 9.

What a fantastic performance from our 12 men! It may be remembered as the "Flower sending off game", but should also rank as an all-time great performance, despite defeat imo.
Great post!! So Stains did get more penalties? What a surprise!

Shortly after Saints should have been reduced to 11 via a sin bin for a professional foul. We were not perfect, some of Lockers tackles were not by the letter of the law but the game should have been played by equal numbers 12 v 12 and referees by a competent official.
I've just seen it again and it was direct contact to the head with the forearm, so apologies TrueBlue. That is a dismissal.
You surprised me earlier Cherry but fair play, apology completed accepted because I respect your opinion very highly and you talk a lot of sense!!

RE MM, for the avoidance of doubt, I dont 'hate' the lad. I don't know him.I think he is a good player but he does have a side to him that could cost us a game similar to what happened with Flower. He's not done that so far but I fear he has the potential to do so. Thats my only concern with him TBW.That is why I was pleased he was in the stand and not playing because of my latent fears concerning him.I don't want to resurrect our differences re MM I know we both want what's best for our club albeit we show it in different ways.I have a confession to make which I'll share with just you TBW( other posters ignore what I'm about to tell TBW). My Grandfather worked in the mines in St helens and his sister,my great Aunt was the first Lady Mayor of St Helens. and perhaps worst of all he once played football for Wigan Athletic. But make no mistake I'mm Wigan RLFC thro' and thro.
Jim, before you put MM on a ship to Botany Bay, go to the RFL Disciplinary website and search 'Michael McIlorum' over the years. THEN, do the same for the sainted 'Jon Wilkin', poster boy, charity worker and future TV Pundit.

The results may surprise you!
Exactly, his discipline record is very very good!!

Whoever it was, Hohaia or Masoe, they were getting knocked out, Flower saw red!!

To be fair though the angle and replays do not show anything that Hohiai did especially on SSN etc. It once you see the forearm to the face you realise Bentham should have sent both off. And that is only shown during the game and half time.

You do see the side on shot and it look innocuous but you see it head on you see the arm in the face.

This vine shows how bad the forearm from Hohaia was

If anybody on here can say Hohaia shouldn't have been sent off after watching that please tell me your name so I can block you, absolutely clueless some people!!

Anybody seeing that has to see why Ben reacted as he did. It is all well and good saying be professional blah blah blah but when you are assaulted be it in the street or on the sports field, survival mode and anger instinctively kick in.

When you see that it's pretty understandable why he threw the first punch, but the second......
