Expect bad news

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

i was struggling to think of anything that would generally annoy me at the moment, but then someone mention the moving of the derby match.

obviously we don't know what the bad new is yet but if its the moving of the Derby Day to London IL need to be shot.

how much money goes into local business on Derby Day, people doing pub runs to the stadium, food van outside.
it would be a slap in the face of Wiganiers.

then again thats a knee jerk reaction from me, if it was the moving of a big game but not the derby, i would visit london to watch say the BIG ONE in london instead.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

so why have you started a thread on bad news if you only post positive news :o
Its a childish reply, would you rather I don't post the information I get? if so I will willingly stop posting from NOW. I am sick of being sniped at with petty comments so maybe its time to go. :sly:
Its not childish at all. I was just stating that you said you only posted positive news then start a thread about looming bad news then keep everyone guessing as to what it is.I like reading the rumours section because you can have a smile re some of them and its good to see some of them come true but the "I know something you don't but I'm not telling you" posts are IMO childish. Its up to you if you stop posting.

So you would be "happy" to lose our home derby game against Stains and for it to be played in London?

So we fans watch the delights of Wakey and Salford at the DW but our bigger/better opponents then the cockneys get to watch those then (if my speculation is correct).
I'd be seething as well but I hold out hope that neither Leeds, Saints nor Wire would comply.

Why would they further Wigan's ambitions by helping us court sponsors in London?

I could see why IL would want it to be one of them commercially and Saints in particular as that is THE biggest Derby and would get coverage. Whereas v Les Cat, ...meh!

Mind you if we carry on at this rate form wise no one will be interested in watching us play anyone.

However if it really is Saints then IL should resign. You really can't deny the home fans that game whatever your motivations.

Have to agree if it is the saints game then he should step down,he won't but he should.

If its the Saints game then fans should protest and not go to the game in London. That kills the experiment in one go.

Fans are all blind at times to a degree of loyalty that owners depend on. If the London game was played in front of 5/6k then its a message he will learn from. If people only complain about it and do go. Then he gets away with it.

Carry on playing like this and 10,000 crowds will be a thing of the past.

perversely I feel he doesn't want that many of us down there,he's convinced himself there's a massive bedrock of Wigan rugby league fans down in London chomping at the bit if that's the case then that would explain why crowds have been abysmal in London for years, there all Wigan fans Broncos may as well pack it up.

For this to work,it has to be super league led with a game a round played in London, fanning about with the odd game here and there comes off as a vanity project for IL.

As for your remarks about fans you're quite correct.

Well you've got 9 pages of guesses. What a waste of time. Think it's a bloody stupid thread.
