And look where we ended up when the dust had settled on their 'masterplan'. Insolvent, debt ridden and at the mercy of a football man who sold our sacred cathedral to a bloody supermarket and turned us into his rent boys!

I was under the impression it was Robinson who sold out.

Wigan have NO divine right to win anything, especially as this was seen as a re-building season with tons of young kids taking over from vastly experienced performers of long standing.

How we can just expect the team to turn on a Cup-winning tap is not always sensible, when there are other Super League teams aiming just as high as us.

Not the gang of 4, when they broke up it went downhill.

BUT NOT UNTIL

We had an amazing decade + of history making success.

The austerity policy of Robinson, bad luck and Whelan wanting the club saw a fantastic era end.

No, it was the majority of the Shareholders who sold out by accepting the offer of £125 for every £1 from Whelan.

Who says "especially as this was seen as a re-building season "?

That was not what IL said when he came here. Year on year improvement was what he promised and the ambition to get to finals every year including 2013.

The fact we are clearly in a rebuilding season is in fact a failure on his part to manage the turnover of players properly with far too many senior players going all at once. it was certainly not part of the master plan.

It seemingly hasn't lowered his expectations though.

Other clubs ambitions are no excuse for what goes on at Wigan. If they are in a better position to win trophies than us then that is unacceptable.

Note that doesn't mean I expect to win every game or every trophy but I always expect Wigan to be in a position to be considered one of the favorites for success.

Then I am glad a lot of the time your opinions are wrong.

When will it sink in that due to the low salary cap, some of the above average number of oversea's signings over the past few season's were interim signing's while we produced more of our own grown players.
