They are terrified that by Saturday evening we will have won two trophies and be joint top of the league with a game in hand without having got out of second gear and with a young team, conveyor belt of youth talent and billionaire owner we could become dominant again. Look forward to hearing none of it is legitimate because we still benefit from turning fully pro a few weeks before everyone else 32 years ago.

We were poor yesterday but Marshall’s toe stays infield in minute 2 or Hampshire touches down the kick in the 2nd half we probably win comfortably. The game was a hiding to nothing, the players were obviously saving themselves for next week and were always going to. Warrington on the other hand had lots of eager young kids with nothing to lose. Having said that each of our 5 main absentees are among the best in the comp in their positions, so calling us full strength or even near to isn’t really true is it?
Make it 3 trophies when we win on Saturday at Wembley. We’ve already won the WCC & on Saturday at Warrington, we won the Locker Cup 😊
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.

that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

We were poor, but we still won and that's all that matters in the end. I think it was a wake up call for next week and we will see a much improved Wigan performance at Wembley.

A lot has been said about the Tyler Dupree incident towards the end of the first half. It seems to me that the incident should never have got to that stage as Sam Powell (yes, him again) was clearly spoiling in the tackle and should have been penalised. I don't know if I saw or interpreted things properly but Harry Smith was clearly annoyed as the teams were leaving the pitch and exchanging a few verbals with, I think, Powell. Something was going on or am I dreaming?

Started within seconds of the match finishing. Jodie Cunningham and Brian Carney couldn't wait to be judge, jury and executioner with the Wigan players. I don't know why we have a judiciary! Just allow the half-baked pundits have their two penneth and f*** having any disciplinary panel.

I thought pundits were supposed to give incisive and unbiased opinions. I switched the game off immediately those two started their verbal diarrhoea

In commentary, Wilkin (I think) said, after the Keighran incident, well, that's him out of the CCF, or words to that effect. A casual viewer might have taken that as gospel, it wasn't. A ban looked likely, but not inevitable. If we've learnt anything about the judiciary, it's that we can't predict them! Pundits should clearly distinguish between their opinions, and solid facts.

I get that pundits have to big stuff up with hubris and hyperbole (in other words, Bullshit) but Wilkin said at the time something like "tackles don't get any worse than that" - really?

I didn't turn it off. You can't criticise them if you don't listen to what they have to say.

Do what we do. Sky on vision and Joe Mills & Bilko on Mixlr.
They are not just cheerleaders - when Wigan are terrible they say so. When Wigan are great they also say so. We'll be at the final on Saturday so won't hear them but wish them well on their first joint outing to Wembley.
