The last link is the most useful as it explains the simplified quota rules. Reading that, doesn’t TL’s status hinge on whether or not he’s classed as Federation trained?

The simplified quota rules mean clubs can sign seven non federation trained players. So on the expectation normally all prospective NRL players will be non fed trained as they will have spent their junior years in Oz or NZ we can have seven of them.

TL came over when he was 17 didn’t he? So if he qualifies as federation trained due to this we could have TL plus seven other non federation trained players.

Can't imagine anything has changed since then. I always thought, based on hearsay, that he was Fed-trained.
