Lindsey has always watched the Latics so that is nothing new and like I have said before the reason Lindsey is on the Latics board is because he is good friends with Whealen and Whealen needs someone to sort out the Latics losses and to get more media attention for the Latics.

If Latics are moving out of the JJB Stadium where are they going to play, Whealen is not going to buy a new stadium for them when he doesn't need to. He got the JJB built cheaper because he got funding for a multi Sports stadium, if he builds a new stadium then he will not get any funding and if Latics move from the JJB then the people who gave funding for a Multi sports stadium might see the JJB as no longer being a Multi sports stadium and try and get their money back.

Whealen is a business man and so isn't going to waste money when he doesn't need to.
Don't belive all the hype mate.

1. Lindsay has only started watching them whan he realised that there may be a chance of more media coverage for himself.

2. It is more likely that the two sent to us are there to sort our financial mess.

3. The only help Whelan got with the Stadium was money from the football trust, we were going bust at the time, and heading for the Reebok. The JJB was built for the Latics, we just happened to move there when Whelan bailed us out.

Plonker (if I could be arsed to look up the latin equivalent I would. Er, sorry, I wouldn't)
Steady on now Jinkin Jimmy; Plonker is a bit choice from a user who has a name that is globally and affectionately associated with Jimmy Johnstone of Celtic fame. Wrong colour hoops mon. Have you not got the creativity to think up a more original "non football" associated user name ! Shame on you. If you don't believe me, put Jinkin Jimmy into any search engine.

Trouble is Horsey, I think there are a lot of Johnny Come Latelys jumped on our bandwagon since we moved to the JJB. Not like us, I guess, who have supported Wigan since the late 60s. They choose to ignore ( or don't know ) the truth behind our darker days !

Err...what financial mess? We're making a profit, unlike our 'blue' friends.

That may be so, but in real terms we are not making anywhere near as much as is neccessary to reclaim the dominance that we once had.
Also, I think you will find the Latics loss was for the last financial year.
I have a sneaky feeling that with their 19 live Sky games, of which each home one generates at least £500,000 and their CC Final appearance, their final league position and the giaranteed £20M off Sky, they may just make a bob or two this season.
Not forgetting the increased value of each squad member, I don't think we should even start to ridicule them at a miserley £10M loss last year.
FFS they buy reserve team players for more than the world record for a RL player.
Jealous, too bl**dy right I am. We used to be the major sporting team in this town, but that title is well and truly theirs now.I'm not in the least bit bitter though.

I have heard about it , but I don't fully understand the implications.
