He "explained" it again in the program for tonight's Hudda game. It is still a load of rubbish.PaulC wrote:Why dont they just hold the magic weekend at wembley or another london ground. To me thats problem solved. Leg-end can stop taking our home games down there, and all teams go down to show case.

Oh well.
What is the criteria for success for this game?
We are told the objectives are sponsors, more support and a bigger talent pool.
Well you aren't going to get all that off one game year so how many games are fans prepared to see relocated to London each season?

The support all depends on us going to Wembley for a Challenge Cup final which is not the case this season and the novelty of going to a ground which you have not been to before.DaveO wrote:Not a London based multinational then?dontshootthemessenger wrote:http://www.wiganwarriors.com/news/2015- ... icial+News

How many of the 2,000 plus going for this first game would still be going if we were at Wembley and there was no free transport.
I suspect very few, apart from the more dedicated supporters who go to all away games, irrespective of the cost!

While they keep carping on about how successful this move is I too would love to know how many would go it wasn't free 100 or so tops?.Whelley Warrior wrote:The support all depends on us going to Wembley for a Challenge Cup final which is not the case this season and the novelty of going to a ground which you have not been to before.DaveO wrote:Not a London based multinational then?dontshootthemessenger wrote:http://www.wiganwarriors.com/news/2015- ... icial+News

The match programme was all about London I'm surprised it didn't come with a portion of jellied eels and was being sold by a pearly king and queen.

London was always one of the best attended games for Wigan fans.gruffy wrote:While they keep carping on about how successful this move is I too would love to know how many would go it wasn't free 100 or so tops?.Whelley Warrior wrote:The support all depends on us going to Wembley for a Challenge Cup final which is not the case this season and the novelty of going to a ground which you have not been to before.DaveO wrote: Not a London based multinational then?

Me & my lot would still have gone even if it wasn't free ????????????

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: London game confirmed
Well I suspect we'll soon find out how many leneghan lured down there by the lure of a free trip,I'll happily wager it'll be nothing like the number at present, going to the Broncos is a different issue than giving up a home tie as that's part of the seasons fixtures.
Plus I would say this its,for me at least a huge difference between going to an artificial away game than one that's in the fixture list proper, one I would attend, the other when you have to pay for it I'll pass and choose another away game to go too,but again that's just me.
