I’ve been known to question Smithies but what a performance he put in, Shorrocks as well he was everywhere. Also does Shorrocks look a little bit leaner this season or is it me?
I think hes just trimmed his hair a bit barney lol( i thought the same actually)

Before the game they where showing match highlights, the last 2 where Wigan v Leeds GF & Wigan v Saints "Flower punch" GF, we lost both matches, why not show highlights from 2 Wigan Saints derbies that showed both clubs winning, It's feels like SKY or somebody at SKY are still bitter because of our glory years 30year back.
Leeds fans here complaining that Sky are biased to Wigan in particular and Lancashire teams in general. Three Wigan games in a row.

Poor Leeds have to have a whine to hide the fact that their Rival's Round match is against Huddersfield :D :D
3 games in a row, they've not been off the telly since the start of the season, bloody Yarkshire scratters :D
Was gonna say that Meds 😂
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Leigh have asked if he can be loaned to them again! 😂

Such a gutsy win that. It’s left me feeling a bit rough today like but well worth it!!

I thought the pack was outstanding, with guys who we needed to up their game really doing so (Cooper and KPP). I’m a huge Smithies fan anyway, so his performance doesn’t surprise me. I actually didn’t think it was hugely different to what he’s doing most weeks but good to see some praise. I thought Kaide Ellis was excellent and that years option on him is looking a good one now. He’ll probably get more responsibility now with Cooper sidelined, so that’ll be interesting.

I agree NK. I too have been critical of KPP and Cooper this season but both performed very well yesterday in fact, I thought that KPP’s performance was his best in a Wigan shirt. Ellis in the last two weeks has look transformed. The worry I have now is who replaces Cooper. Singo looks shot and Mago, on the whole, has failed so far to contribute much. As you say, Ellis will have to take on more responsibility and Byrne will probably need to do longer minutes.

Excellent entertainment in a great atmosphere - only add that the Wife and the Dog are both not talking to me due to my shouting and yelling
You lucky bugger 😀

Not ideal losing Cooper. It will be Singleton you’d imagine and he needs to improve. He has got in him but it feels like he wants to start games and when he comes from the bench he doesn’t add a great deal. I wouldn’t mind using Isa around the middle. He’s not the biggest but he’ll smash people and he reinvented himself in the middle all those years ago at Widnes. We’re lucky that Byrne, Havard and Ellis can do big minutes and Smithies is playing like an extra prop, so we should be ok. I wouldn’t mind seeing Harvie Hill get a run against Wakey.

We’ve got ourselves in the position of Warrington being a free hit in a way. I thought we might lose all 3 of these local derbies, so to win the first 2 has been fantastic and we don’t have much pressure on us at Wire. It would be nice to get the win but it’s more important that we do then at this business end.

Miski hasn't let us down despite the one error. Marshy has been great. King's best game for us. And on and on. Smithies phenomenal.
It’s interesting that Morley, I thought Marshy was poor in the first half. He had a couple of opportunities to burn Saints on the outside but took neither. However, he was much improved in the second half and his tackle on Hurrell was worth the entrance money alone.
I noticed Marshy for the hard yards he made at times, some great work in defence including contribution to stopping a try, enthusiasm, willingness to get stuck in. Could say the same from 1 to 17, but he just seemed to be buzzing around and popping up everywhere at crucial times.
I guess, in some ways we all see a different game, though we all seem agreed that it was an extremely good 'un today :D
