To Quote Skysports.com
"Gleeson could still move for a transfer fee if Wigan can get the player under their salary cap but he would have to have signed by 5pm on Friday to be eligible for the Challenge Cup"
So Still tomorrow for a day of wonderment (Don't know if that is a word) yet, according to these.:conf:

This taken from Sky sports news

Wigan are thought to be reluctant to allow academy product Goulding to leave on a permanent basis.

The deal has no relevance re Goulding. The goalposts have been shifted and that is why the deal that was agreed may now fall through unless both clubs agree on a compromise.

We will have to offload players if we want to sign Gleeson unless he signs a deferred contract according to IL we have only 20k to spare.

Personally, I still dont want him to come, any person that bets on his own side to loose is a bad un im my book, HOWEVER, I am willing to put that one down to being led astray by Longy, and that makes me feel abit better, whether its true or not, it means if we do sign him, I will reserve judgement until after the saints match...

He bet on his own team knowing that they would lose because he had inside information of the squad they had available, I dont think he even played in the game because Millward played a load of kids, so Gleeson didnt affect the result. From what Iam lead to believe Long and Gleeson were not the only Saints players/coaches to have had a bet on that game they were all on it, they were the only ones daft enough to use their own accounts which they had with bookmakers and thats why they got caught.
