Standing about 10 yards away from the incident I honestly have to say I didn't see how it all started - just the young lads on the wall, singing and generaly enjoying the afternoon..... didn't see anything until the old bloke started lashing out (somewhat pathetically I might add !) at one of the young lads. After it had all subsided and the stewards had escorted the guy out of our stand there were STILL a number of Leeds fans (in particular 2 girls and a bloke who started telling us how the young lad had completely unprovoked, hit a woman and then hit the bloke as well) who were just antagonising the situation in a childish name calling way. It has to be said though that a lot of the fans exiting the South Stand past us took the banter in good spirit (as you'd expect).
I dont agree with segregation of fans to be honest as it lowers us to the levels of the poofball hooligans and once we get on that slippery slope they'll be banning beer from the terraces as well(unthinkable in my opinion !!!) - but it has to be said that the stewards did nothing to move on the rest of the Leeds fans who were still in our end after the incident which could have surely caused more aggro if we were to lower ourselves to thier level !
Not a nice place to visit and in all the years I've been going not entirely surprising either.
In the same way that the Hull clubs are plagued with a small element of football fans turning up at thier games, now that Leeds Utd are on the decline then the Rhino's will have one too....... sad days indeed !!
