McCavoy did a good job for us last season and I'd rather have retained him on-board than Withers this season.

If all Wigan come up with is Walker, McCavoy, Coley and players of that ilk when the rest of the league are signing players like King, Webster and others of similar quality I will be very depressed and I will tell you now we will not make the top 6 next season.

Cant argue with any of that.the players being signed so for are top quality and us not getting anyone YET is very worry. and if its the likes of mcavoy then the rest of SP are right and were not a big side anymore.
No ambition = season tickets suffering.
Webster,Walker and Fa'fili are a must for Wigan as are 2 props.
Mc Avoy was the unsung hero last year he would be a good Squad player.
It won't matter at all whom is signed it is the results that matter. IF all the Salford players are signed, backed up with McAvoy and say Demetiru and the coach makes this unlikely bunch into a winning side-who cares as long as we are competing for a change?
We may argue for and against particular signings (and we have been woeful in this dept. lately), however it is the performance that counts.

No formal offers but apparently Wakefield have been in contact with Mark Calderwoods agent about possible contract talks.
I can't say my source is 100% reliable so we will just have to wait and see.
