Although I'm not a "born and bread" Wiganer, me and my wife used to regularly travel down To Central Park from Whitehaven in Cumbria. Loved it.
I now live in Germany these last 7 years but I still keep an active interest in Wigan and buy all the home matchday programmes.
I've even managed to "recruit" a German family to support Wigan!

Me ant missus both ex Hindley (Castle Hill) but now in Cornwall so it's a 600 mile round trip to a game which we try to do 5-6 times each season. Last time we set out 9.30a.m. Friday morning only to arrive at the ground 8.05p.m.
It's nice to get back though for some fresh air and familiar friendly accents. Some say my accent is refined now but 2 hours in any Wigan pub and I'm back at my best as though I've never been away.
I know some of you don't like SKY T.V. All we can say is thank god. There's never owt in't papers here.
By the way, Plymouth has quite a respectable R.L. team.
An I can't get a R.L. shirt of any kind at JJB Sports,Plymouth
